ABOUT US

Morpheus Space is a leading innovator for in-space mobility, providing cutting-edge electric propulsion systems for the New Space industry.

Our Beginning

Morpheus Space launched in 2018 from a university lab at the Technical University of Dresden, where a team of scientists set out to transform how satellites move in space. What started as research in electric propulsion quickly became a bold mission: enable scalable, efficient mobility for the new space economy. From day one, we’ve been building propulsion systems for a sustainable orbital infrastructure.

Momentum Builds

In 2019, we joined the first-ever Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator in Los Angeles, sharpening our business model and expanding our global reach. By early 2020, we had secured seed funding, opened our U.S. office in 2021, and were able to scale up development of our modular propulsion systems. As demand grew, so did our ambition.

Scaling the Future

We raised a $28M Series A in 2022, backed investors like Alpine Space Ventures, Lavrock Ventures, Airbus Ventures, InQTel and others. In 2024, we unveiled Reloaded, our mass-production facility in Dresden, built to deliver our GO-2 propulsion systems on an industrial scale. From lab to launchpad, Morpheus Space is Propelling the Future of Space Mobility.

Our second-generation GO-2 electric propulsion system delivers reliable, efficient propulsion with continuous thrust and no moving partschemicals or pressurization

Built on FEEP (Field Emission Electric Propulsion) technology developed at TU Dresden in 2018, GO-2 is designed for mass production and is a critical solution for the growing mobility needs of satellites.

"To me, success isn't just about balancing the books; it's about driving operational agility, creating clarity, and equipping the team with the insights they need to make smarter, faster decisions. Everything we do on the finance team supports Morpheus Space's mission to propel the future of satellite mobility with precision, efficiency, and confidence."

"As a space propulsion engineer, I absolutely dream of one day helping to bring humanity to the stars. There are many smaller building blocks that pave the way there, and one of them is to perfect space mobility around Earth. My task at Morpheus is to find creative ways for improving performance, reliability and versatility of our propulsion solutions."

"When I joined Morpheus Space, I was asked a simple question: 'Do you prefer building or testing?' My answer was both — and that's exactly what I get to do here. As a Tech Assistant, I'm hands-on from the first component to the first ignition. Being part of the full journey, from manufacturing to testing, is what makes my work at Morpheus both exciting and rewarding."
